The Banana Leaf Little Den Scratching Post

For the past couple of months, I’ve wanted to replace my cat’s beds & scratching posts with an all-in-one cat tree.  Most of the cat trees I’ve  looked at have been either too big for my living room or way too expensive, then at the weekend when I was browsing zooplus.ie looking for a laser toy for my cats, I came across this  – The Banana Leaf Little Den Scratching Post – reduced to €74.99 from €99.99.

After a glass (or two)  of wine I decided to just buy it and today it arrived in the post.  The assembly is pretty easy.  You don’t need any tools as it all screws together. All in all,  it took me around 10 – 15 minutes to put together.

The base is quite big, a little bigger than I would have liked, but as you can see from the pictures Egor took ownership of it straight away and decided he wanted to try out his new cat bed by climbing all over it and it didn’t fall over.  From the base to the underneath of the basket you have the cat scratcher and every time both cats enter the room they head straight over to their new scratching post to sharpen their nails.

The bed has a very natural look to it and to be honest I can’t see it not fitting in with the décor in any room in the house. It’s small and light enough to move from one room to another if needed. I moved it today into a sunspot in my living room and straight away Egor was fast asleep in the basket. The basket  is only big enough for one cat and I have two but that doesn’t bother me as Bella prefers the sofa, bed or my chair.

I’m so happy with it and the space I have saved. If you are looking for something similar, I cannot recommend this enough.

If you have a cat tree you absolutely love and would like to share,
